Discussions that eventually led to the creation of the Alliance began in San Francisco in 2007 at SIOP's annual conference. Convened by Gary Latham, then SIOP's President, attendees at an informal meeting about how to strengthen work, industrial, and organizational psychology in all its facets generated many suggestions that were then put into practice.  A report of that meeting is posted on this page for downloading, as are other founding documents.
